Welcome to Columbus. I hope you enjoy our community. Felicia BardgeFelicia Bardge ★★★★★ I utilized Helping Hands Moving Service this weekend and the service I received was definitely 5 star plus. These guys were Friendly, Knowledgeable, Efficient and an added Bonus lots of fun to work with. I have used other services in the past and this by far was the best experience...hands down. They loaded everything we discussed within the agreed upon time-frame and even let me know that I hadn't used all my time and offered to load other items. None of my items were scratched or damaged and they gave me a little interior decorating advice...which was perfect. If I ever have to move again, I will without a doubt use Helping Hands and I HIGHLY recommend ANYONE reading this review to use them as well....you will never want to use anyone else.Harold BallHarold Ball ★★★★★ Kam HardeeKam Hardee ★★★★★ If I can be honest, I wouldn't recommend moving with these folks. If you can’t tell by their responses on all of their low star reviews that come across as unprofessional and seem to have a victim mentality, the grammar in their responses is pretty bad, too. Even if their prices are tempting, I'd say it's not worth it. I'm giving them 5 stars just so people can read this review (I'd give them zero after how they handled my situation). The office staff and the movers didn't communicate well. They didn't even know about my second stop. My estimate said it would take 2 hours, but it ended up taking 4.5, even though all my stops were on the ground level. Plus, one of the movers pressured me to leave a tip to avoid extra charges. They handled my belongings quite roughly. To make things worse, they forgot to provide the mattress cover they promised. They used a regular cover from the truck, then removed it when they put my mattress in storage. They also broke one of my coat racks, causing all my coats to fall on the floor because they didn't take them off the rack when moving it. It seems like they lacked proper training in professional moving. It's a truly terrible experience, especially considering I had a fantastic experience with Helping Hands last time. To add to the frustration, they were 3 hours late. 🙃Response from the ownerOffice staff has been let go for not following SOPsThe crew chief on your job was scheduled out of work cause they was taking hours longer than the billables. As in they worked your job for 2 more hours that we didnt charge but you tipped them instead. Hes been let go too. A good friend of mine was on that move and thanks you for the tip. But told me if tge hustle. Your insistence of moving the coat rack with coats on it is what broke it. The coats should have been packed in a $15 wardrobe box that we sell. You weren't packed... qe shoukd of left the coats and the rack so they never touched your floor or the ground. Yes we've moved many folks and have alot of repeat clients that fly us across country to do their moves again and again. Extra stop or not, and throwing stuff away the time is the time. Did you know that state says to charge you $70+ for each stop? That's in addition to hourly rates. Yes we get late on jobs. Much like this review, months later, but hey you got around to it and saw it through...Sometimes it's our fault sometimes it's clients misrepresentation of a move. Today, we was late cause the truck door slammed a movers hand and busted two fingers open. He washed it cleaned it and chopped stairs for 2 hours straight. I wish we could charge $200 an hour so movers didn't have to move 8,10,12 hours a day. Consumers in this economy and market can't afford it and regulations eat all the money you pay on a move. I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience this time around. If there's a next time I'm sure it'll be better. Just remember, if it was easy everyone would do it. Our backs and knees hurt too, we just deal with it so we can pay our bills. Those are facts of life. So, a 4.5 hour move that took 4.5 hours... shoot should have say our competition yesterday in lagrange loading a truck next to me. Those guys didn't even have equipment to do a move...we carried 2-3times tge volume of boxes and furniture. Anyhow I'll digress and send my condolence for a dreadful experience you had. Gaby AzharGaby Azhar ★★★★★ I can't say enough good things about the team of John and Ray. They were professional, courteous, and very pleasant. They fulfilled our every request cheerfully. They are especially to be commended for working so hard in this awful heat. They never lagged or dawdled. Moving is never pleasant under any circumstances, but John and Ray made it bearable. Great job, guys!Racquel Rosita AmarilloRacquel Rosita Amarillo ★★★★★ I used their services on 7/1/22 and I was so happy with their quickness, caring, and their prices.. there was a lady boss of the crew she was awesome and I felt like I could trust the crew!! Thank you!!!!js_loader
