This company was so helpful in being flexible as my unloading time changed due to my other companies' loaders time being changed. Great price for the service too. I had a packed 15ft truck unloaded in around 40 minutes with them. The only suggestion I would have is that movers wash hands in between moves, as we had to wipe off some things afterwards. I would definitely recommend them!

This is a great moving company they helped us get everything out of our old home and deliver it to two different locations. Billy and Kevin worked extremely hard and they move quickly while still protecting all of our furniture and glass. I would definitely use this company again.

I manage a moving company out of North Georgia, and we called Helping Hands for moving help - to help our own movers - load a friend of mine out of his apartment in Columbus.The owner Mike was very helpful and professional during our initial call to book, and really seemed to know what he was doing.On the day of the move, his movers showed up and smelled like weed. They helped us load up, and rushed out of there upon completion. Our guys were in truck loading and in elevator off loading as well. These guys were specifically told NOT to go into a bathroom per customers instructions.During lunch with the customer, he informed my guys that cash was missing from his wallet and a watch had been stolen as well - which was in the bathroom they were told not to go into. He knew the helping hands guys did it, as he saw them go into the bathroom they were told not to go into.My customer called Mike, the owner, and he tried to blame it on my guys! Unbelievable...A police report was filed and we haven't heard a word from Mike since.STEER CLEAR OF HELPING HANDS!!!

Hired through U-Haul. The spirit is chiding me because I had the money to pay for professional help, and I chose economy. Although the men were kind, one wasn’t an actual mover, just helping his friend and my walls, ceiling and floor in my brand new, just closed, didn’t even have a fridge in yet, house. I had to walk away at first and cry. Then I accepted that I messed up, the spirit in my ear the entire time - I put on mymoving gloves and was the second person helping move my own things that I paid to have moved for me. Just to minimize damage. They were late, weed smell was strong, no actual equipment like gloves or helping tools - and not dressed for this kind of work. Being kind is amazing, being considerate of other people’s house and things - is common courtesy as a mover -however knowing what you’re doing is required for a service you say you provide. Thank you for the help gentlemen - I wish you the best. But I’m disappointed and wish I paid the higher cost for people who take this job seriously.Now off to find someone to fix all the damage. I haven’t even slept in my own house and I already have to have it fixed.

Hired this company through U-Haul to just load my truck, that was it. Did all of the prep work packing boxes and wrapping furniture, taking care to mark my fragile boxes, those that needed to go a certain side up, or those that could not have anything set on top.The movers where an hour and a half late to start off, which was wildly inconvenient as I had a move out inspection scheduled with my complex that I had to rush to get the apartment ready once everything was out. When they finally did show up, they had two movers, which was perfect. What was not normal is them bringing three children, all under 5. Normally, I would not have cared if they might have respected my things, actually parented their children, or stayed out of the way. The three of them ran around screaming for the duration of the load, which was about 3 hours. They got in the way constantly. On top of that, they bounced on my couch and wrestled each on my mattress with their shoes on etc, with zero regard of things that were not theirs. The cherry on top was them constantly asking if they could keep my items that they found amusing and wanted - which ..? no? - and then demanding I give them money at the end of the move.The movers themselves were mostly okay, I had a couple of heavy items that got a bit dinged up and some walls that got some marks, not a problem, I know moving comes with its headaches so no big deal. They loaded my items with blatant disregard to the instructions I put on my boxes and items. I had an expensive mirror that I wrapped very intently, with arrows pointing UP and labels saying FRAGILE. I had to unpack and repack over half the truck because when I went to check on my items, things were just tossed in haphazardly after I had requested the truck be packed as tightly as possible as I had a second stop to load more things later. While taking things out to reorganize, multiple fragile boxes were thrown in there, upside down or smooshed by other items. The best part was my mirror was upside down, precariously placed where had I not noticed, would have shattered.I understand childcare is expensive and that some of my items were heavy. I cannot understand letting your children disrespect my items and bounce around/wrestle on my furniture. Avoid this company, at all costs. Learn from my experience and seemingly that of others who have left reviews. The owner was apologetic for their tardiness on the phone but that’s about where that ended. I cannot imagine how many of my things would have been broken had I not prepped them myself. I was a professional mover for four years in college and from experience, it’s not that hard to respect people’s things. Don’t bring your children either because it’s weird, annoying, and frankly kind of gross having them run around on my furniture with shoes on or have a wrestling match on my mattress.

Helping Hands Moving Is the Definition of a Scam — Avoid at All CostsThis was, hands down, the worst experience I’ve ever had with any business. Helping Hands Moving should be shut down for the way they treat customers. Not only were my belongings damaged, but I was blatantly disrespected and called a liar by the OWNER—Mike.Yes, the owner—the person who moved me into my storage unit—had the audacity to tell his movers, on speakerphone, that I was lying when I pointed out the damage they had done. I heard him with my own ears trying to discredit me to cover up his team’s sloppy, unprofessional work. Instead of offering an ounce of accountability, he chose gaslighting and arrogance.He quoted me 3 hours. It took nearly 5 to move two beds, a dresser, a chest, a couch, and 30 boxes. That’s it. Nothing out of the ordinary. No stairs. No complications. Just complete inefficiency and zero urgency. The movers were slow, careless, and treated my things like trash. I’m now left with broken items, deep frustration, and a hard-earned lesson.Do not let the name “Helping Hands” fool you—there was nothing helpful about this crew. They were late. They were disrespectful. They were reckless. And when it came time to address the damage, I was met with lies, deflection, and a complete lack of professionalism from top to bottom.This company is a liability waiting to happen. I wouldn’t trust them to move a pillow across the room.Do yourself a favor: Stay far, far away.

They are very unprofessional. First time they changed my date that it was schedule to move. When they finally arranged another day and that day they also came up with some kind of excuse and when they did show up, it was only one tiny short dude. We said are you sure you are going to be able to move all these furniture by your self. That was impossible because all of our furniture was big, heavy and solid. So he called some one for help. When they were moving, they damaged my hardwood floor, they scrapped my kitchen cabinet while moving. The guy said he was going to come back and fix it and he never came back. Every time we call them, there is no answer.

I recently used Helping Hands Moving Service for my move, and I had a terrible experience. From the start, the packing was done poorly. Many of my items were improperly wrapped and as a result, several of my belongings were damaged.Additionally, the movers showed little respect for my home. They caused significant damage to the walls and floors during the move. Instead of placing items in an organized manner in storage, they haphazardly threw things in, making it nearly impossible to find anything.When I tried to address these issues with the owner, he completely lacked accountability. He was dismissive and showed no interest in making things right. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I strongly advise others to avoid using this company. Save yourself the stress and choose a more reliable moving service.

This is the most unprofessional business in columbus ga. They are extremely money hungry and the owner of the company acts like a child. I inquired about a move of some of my items on 2/1/22, in which they state they have an available opening the next day 2/2/22. As I'm scheduling my appointment the representative fails to mention that my deposit is non refundable since they are not able to be notified five days prior..which doesn't make any sense if I'm told that they have availability the next day. If that is the case then maybe schedule your customers within a five day period just in case they have to cancel. This information is also not listed in the email confirmation they send but their refund policy is listed in your estimate which clearly states that if you choose to cancel or reschedule within 5 days then you WILL be refunded. It doesn't say anything about it needing to be canceled or rescheduled 5 days prior. I called on 2/1/22 as well as this morning before my appointment to attempt to cancel..the first time I called I was manipulated into keeping the appointment and the second time I called the owner automatically assumed I went with another company when that wasn't even the reason why I was needing to cancel. Then the owner proceeds to tell the representative who took my payment that I called her liar when I did not. I stated that I was not told(which I wasn't) that my deposit would be non refundable. The representative also lied and said that she did tell me when SHE MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT! I was told that the deposit would go towards the cost of the move..there was nothing stated about a deposit not being refundable..and it clearly states in the estimate that it is refundable. I will be disputing this fraudulent charge with my bank and I suggest no one give their money or business to this company. They are liars and they are extremely unprofessional. You would think a business would try to work with someone as moving is already stressful as it is. They could've given me options or had some type of compassion but they simply were angry that I had to cancel due to unfortunate circumstances and then proceeds to keep my money. I will do everything in my power to ensure that they will pay for this.**To add to the owners comment..no one ever told me it was non refundable. As the estimate shows the deposit is refundable as long as you cancel within 5 days..I scheduled and tried to cancel the same day as well as the next day which was my move date..it is not my fault that you all decided to schedule me the next day after I initially called. You all are extremely unprofessional..I recommend anyone call two men and a truck..they are extremely nice and professional

They are friendly and cordially. While the company leader was extremely professional, some of the staff that actually pick up and deliver your property may need additional training. With any move you can expect things to break and get damaged. But, failure to properly wrap glass items and or using a hand style dolly and dropping it down new hardwood stairs - instead of picking it up is unacceptable. This speaks to inexperience staff. This was a local move and the experience took way longer than anticipated and or quoted.

I utilized Helping Hands Moving Service this weekend and the service I received was definitely 5 star plus. These guys were Friendly, Knowledgeable, Efficient and an added Bonus lots of fun to work with. I have used other services in the past and this by far was the best experience...hands down. They loaded everything we discussed within the agreed upon time-frame and even let me know that I hadn't used all my time and offered to load other items. None of my items were scratched or damaged and they gave me a little interior decorating advice...which was perfect. If I ever have to move again, I will without a doubt use Helping Hands and I HIGHLY recommend ANYONE reading this review to use them as well....you will never want to use anyone else.

If I can be honest, I wouldn't recommend moving with these folks. If you can’t tell by their responses on all of their low star reviews that come across as unprofessional and seem to have a victim mentality, the grammar in their responses is pretty bad, too. Even if their prices are tempting, I'd say it's not worth it. I'm giving them 5 stars just so people can read this review (I'd give them zero after how they handled my situation). The office staff and the movers didn't communicate well. They didn't even know about my second stop. My estimate said it would take 2 hours, but it ended up taking 4.5, even though all my stops were on the ground level. Plus, one of the movers pressured me to leave a tip to avoid extra charges. They handled my belongings quite roughly. To make things worse, they forgot to provide the mattress cover they promised. They used a regular cover from the truck, then removed it when they put my mattress in storage. They also broke one of my coat racks, causing all my coats to fall on the floor because they didn't take them off the rack when moving it. It seems like they lacked proper training in professional moving. It's a truly terrible experience, especially considering I had a fantastic experience with Helping Hands last time. To add to the frustration, they were 3 hours late. 🙃

They are especially to be commended for working so hard in this awful heat. They never lagged or dawdled. Moving is never pleasant under any circumstances, but John and Ray made it bearable. I DO NOT recommend. Instead of Helping Hands, they should be called Sticky Hands. Two guys came to my apt. to pick up a washer/dryer set and deliver to my sister and left with MY pliers! I called and talked to Mark twice to get it resolved. He confirmed the guy had them and that they would be returned and they haven't. It’s been 3 days now and I’m no longer in the state. Not only did they take my freaking pliers but they dented up and damaged a beautiful Maytag washer and dryer set upon delivery to my sister! Extremely dissatisfied with their inability to resolve simple situations and their poor delivery services. I would give zero stars if I could.Screenshot attached shows the damage to the dryer. If I have the picture of the dent to the washer machine I would post it. Hopefully my sister will.*******************************************************In response to the reply on 7/5 by the owner of Helping Hands:Correction – The washer and dryer set WAS in perfect condition before YOU picked it up and it was SOLD NOT given away. If it was so simple there shouldn’t have been any problems returning the pliers as agreed. All I wanted was my stuff back and I asked the “what if” question because I was moving out of state. No one called or reached out to me and you didn’t return anything. Instead of using that negative energy to write nasty replies on Google, you should have returned my stuff and delivered the set in the condition in which you picked it up. Consider yourself blessed and blocked.

Military personel, stay away from this Company at all costs. If i could gove a 0 star review I would.I booked them well in advance and was fooled by the good reviews on here.Day 1: The crew was supposed to show up to Fort Moore at 1500. They never showed up and to make it worse I talked to Mike numerous times, and kept getting excuses of why they were not there. These excuses ranged from customers saying they had less stuff then they actually had so the move took to long, to poor managing skills and not being able to get a crew on to base. At 2000 I told them to reschedule for 0930 the next day, he said they would be there. The crew didn't even know that my address was on base, they called me and asked. They had my address well in advance.Day 2: helping hands called and said they would not make it out at 0930 and the exact words I got were "I hope they make it by 1030" and then they precided to tell me about their insufficient managing skills and not being able to provide a crew. The worker that also talked to me said that " we don't like coming out to Fort Benning anyway". Extremely unprofessional!I have never in all of my time in the Military dealt with such an unprofessional organization. Be better, evaluate yourself and your management skills.
